Mexico observes 3 major time zones, including Central Time Zone, Mountain Time Zone and Pacific Time Zone.
Except the North West region (
see the map below), most of Mexico regions are located in the Central Time zone. Baja California observes
Pacific Time. Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Sinaloa and Nayarit observes Mountain Time.
Mexico officially ended Daylight Saving Time (DST) in 2023. However, some cities located at the northern boder are still using DST,
including Acuna, Anahuac, Juarez, Matamoros, Mexicali, Nuevo Laredo, Ojinaga, Piedras Negras,
Reynosa and Tijuana. These cities observe the same DST schedule as US.
